A recently divorced ER doctor and an anxious, kind-hearted colleague are pushed into a fake-dating arrangement for the sake of a work promotion, and what starts as an exchange of apology letters turns into something much more real. Along the way both characters are working through heavy personal baggage, including a family medical crisis and the aftermath of betrayal.
