Who can use The Spicy Collective
The Spicy Collective is a book discovery and review community for readers of romance, including its steamier corners. Every book we list is publicly available information found anywhere books are sold or discussed; we do not sell, host, or distribute any book content or any adult material. We ask that you be 18 or older to create an account so this stays a space where readers can speak freely and honestly about what they read. By using the site, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything posted from your account. Don't share your account, impersonate others, or create accounts to evade a ban. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
Reviews and content you post
Reviews, ratings, shelf names, and other contributions are your own. Be candid, but don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights. Don't reproduce large portions of a book's text. Anything you choose to make public, including a shelf you make public, can be seen by anyone. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display your content on the site. We may remove content that violates these terms.
Spice and content ratings
Spice levels, trope tags, and content warnings are provided by our community and by us as a helpful guide, not a guarantee. They may be incomplete or subjective. Use your own judgment about what you read.

Our content
The Spicy Collective's name, design, and original content are ours. Book titles, covers, and descriptions belong to their respective rights holders and are used for identification and discovery.
No warranties & limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We aren't liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on any content, ratings, or recommendations here, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Premium Subscriptions
What it is. Premium is an optional paid membership that adds tools and customization to your account. All book information remains available to free members. Premium does not include, sell, or distribute any books or book content.
Billing and auto-renewal. Premium is billed in advance, either monthly or yearly, and renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. The price and billing period are shown before you subscribe. For yearly plans, we send a reminder email before your subscription renews.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep Premium until then, and you will not be charged again.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected].
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry it over a short period. If it still cannot be collected, your subscription ends and your account returns to a free membership. Your account, shelves, and reviews are not affected.
Price changes. We may change Premium prices in the future. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and any change applies starting with your next billing period after the notice.
Founding rate. Members offered the Founding Freak rate keep that price for as long as their Premium subscription remains continuously active. If the subscription ends, the founding rate is no longer available.
Taxes and payments. Prices may not include applicable taxes, which will be shown at checkout where they apply. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your payment details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us.
