In a world shattered by a fifteen-year war between the light-wielding human Vordellians and the magic-wielding Dar'rak, high-ranking commander Soraya Tollmere is captured by Ikarus, the Dar'rak's most feared soldier, known only as the Demon. His orders are to break her and uncover the location of a weapon that could decide the war, but as interrogation forces the two together, the hatred between them starts to crack. This debut dark fantasy romance mixes brutal battlefield violence and dystopian world-building with a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers dynamic between its captor and captive leads.
