Klara is a reclusive royal scholar in the kingdom of Dothik, hiding visions of dragons and a rare magic she fears could get her killed. When the ice-cold Sarrothian Horde King Sarkin arrives on dragonback demanding heartstones to save his people's dying dragons, he forces Klara into a political marriage that will decide the fate of both kingdoms. As she's thrust into an unfamiliar world of dragon riders and court intrigue, Klara must win over a suspicious people and a guarded husband whose frozen heart slowly begins to thaw. It's a slow-building fantasy romance set two centuries after the author's original Horde Kings of Dakkar series.
