A dark, contemporary mafia romance loosely inspired by the Hades and Persephone myth. Elena Ricci, daughter of a Boston mob boss, is forced into marriage with Kal Anderson, the family's cold, calculating in-house doctor and fixer, after he disrupts her wedding to another man. Isolated together on the island where he lives, the two are forced to confront old tension, buried secrets, and a dangerous mutual obsession. It is written as a standalone entry point into the author's wider Monsters & Muses series.
