A human bartender named Wren flees into a nearby forest during a robbery and stumbles into the realm of Faery, landing in the arms of Sigurd, the Fae King of Air. Struck by her uncanny resemblance to his long-lost love, Sigurd magically binds her to him, and Wren must enter a dangerous Fae tournament to win her freedom. As political enemies close in on the Court of Air, Wren is forced to choose between returning to her human life and the pull she feels toward the broody, morally grey king.
