Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back in Trenton, New Jersey, working out of a borrowed RV after her bail bonds office burned down, when construction workers start unearthing bodies on the empty lot where the office used to stand. As the body count rises and a note addressed to her turns up at one of the crime scenes, Stephanie has to figure out who's targeting her while fending off well-meaning matchmaking from her family and juggling her complicated feelings for cop Joe Morelli and security expert Ranger. It's another fast-paced, comedic entry in the long-running series, mixing a murder mystery with the franchise's trademark slapstick humor and chaotic sidekicks.
