Book 1 of Vandalar Concubines

✦ Delights (2) · join to peek

A down-on-her-luck human farmer on a distant planet spends her last savings on what she thinks is a hired hand, only to discover she has actually purchased a towering, horned alien concubine who cannot legally be returned. What starts as an awkward, often hilarious arrangement on her struggling farm slowly turns into real affection as the two learn to trust each other despite very different expectations about what their 'contract' means. It's a short, comedic sci-fi romance that leans into fish-out-of-water humor and found-family warmth more than high-stakes plot.
