Alchemised

Alchemised is a sprawling dark fantasy about Helena Marino, an alchemist whose memories of the final months of a brutal war have vanished, leaving her a prisoner of the regime that won it. She is handed over to Kaine Ferron, a feared necromancer tasked with excavating whatever secrets are locked in her mind, and the two become entangled across shifting timelines of war, loss, and reluctant intimacy. Told through a fractured, non-linear structure, the novel is less a traditional romance than a meditation on trauma, identity, and survival wrapped around a slow-burning captor/captive relationship. It began life as the wildly popular Harry Potter fanfic 'Manacled' before being reworked into an original world.
