A small-town head librarian named Bailey is attacked in her own library attic by a large green orc, only to learn he's Katar, sent to recover a stolen ancient orc manuscript on loan to her library. As they team up to track down the thief, Katar realizes Bailey is his fated mate and tries to coax the buttoned-up librarian out of her comfort zone. It's a standalone entry in the multi-author Sweet Monster Treats shared-world series, blending a light mystery with humor and a steady dose of heat.
