A lion-shifter-like genetic 'Breed' named Callan Lyons, who escaped a brutal lab that created him, finds his carefully guarded world upended when investigative reporter Merinus Tyler tracks him down. Their chemistry triggers an uncontrollable biological 'mating' pull even as the corrupt Genetics Council that made him hunts the surviving Breeds. Together they must navigate betrayal, danger, and their own fierce attraction while trying to keep the Pride safe and expose the people who engineered them.
