Set in modern-day Seoul, this YA urban fantasy follows Gu Miyoung, a teenage gumiho (nine-tailed fox spirit) who survives by feeding on the life energy of wicked men. When she breaks her own rules to save a human boy named Jihoon from a goblin attack, she loses the magical bead that anchors her soul, entangling their fates together. Told in alternating chapters from both teens' perspectives, the story blends Korean mythology, family secrets, and a slow-building romance against a backdrop of supernatural danger.
