Contagion is a lighthearted sci-fi romance novella told almost entirely from the perspective of Simmi, a towering, germaphobic alien with OCD-like tendencies. After escaping captivity alongside a human woman named Aurora, the pair must trek through a hostile alien wilderness, with Simmi's obsessive fear of contamination providing much of the book's comedy. As they rely on each other to survive, their wary companionship grows into an unexpected romantic bond. The story blends humor, found-family warmth, and a slow-building attraction between two mismatched survivors.
