The Apartment

Danielle Steel

Four very different young women — an aspiring shoe designer, a writer, a Wall Street finance professional, and a medical resident — become roommates and then an unconventional family while sharing a loft in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen. As each navigates her career, romantic entanglements, and personal setbacks, their shared home becomes the anchor that helps them through life's surprises. The novel follows their intertwined lives over several years, culminating in the bittersweet realization that their time together in the apartment must eventually come to an end.
