On Halloween night, a grieving young woman planning to end her life instead strikes a dark bargain with a mysterious masked stranger who calls himself Lucifer. A year later she is living under her controlling brother's roof, entangled with his secretive gang the Order of Rain, when the brotherhood from that fateful night resurfaces and forces her to confront what really happened. Told against the backdrop of a wealthy, secretive town ruled by six powerful families, the story mixes cult-like rituals, betrayal, and a volatile love-hate dynamic between the heroine and the man she blames for destroying her. It's the opening book of a dark, twist-heavy new adult series.
