Rites of the Starling

Devney Perry

Book 2 of Shield of Sparrows

Picking up after a brutal attack tears Odessa from the man she loves, this sequel follows her desperate journey across hostile territory while protecting a child who depends on her. As she is hunted by monsters and drawn into the schemes of a powerful priest, Odessa must decide whether to keep hiding from the crown and power everyone insists she is not suited for. The book widens beyond Odessa's single viewpoint, weaving in a second, parallel storyline that slowly reveals long-buried truths about the realm's gods and monsters.
