Rose is a witch matchmaker at a magical bathhouse who has sworn off romance for herself, until a mysterious client offers her a bargain of raw magic in exchange for a few nights together. That client is Gideon, an ancient kraken shifter who has been watching her long before their first meeting and has no intention of letting her go once he has her. Their contract of convenience unravels into an obsessive, tentacled courtship tangled up with a mystery over a stolen magical artifact. It's a slow-build, sex-positive fated-mates romance set in a whimsical monster-dating world.
