A convicted bank robber is sent to Alabaster Penitentiary, a secretive island prison for those the world believes are already dead, where he becomes fixated on one of the guards. What starts as fear and control spirals into an obsessive, blurred-line connection as the line between captor and captive grows dangerously thin. As the story unfolds, the narrator's grip on reality is repeatedly called into question, building to a twist that recontextualizes the entire romance. It's a dark, psychologically twisty M/M story about addiction, trauma, and finding an unconventional kind of love inside captivity.
