A one-night stand turns into a strange negotiation when a mysterious woman named Paris is caught stealing a priceless bottle of bourbon from wealthy collector Cooper McQueen, claiming it rightfully belongs to her family. Over one long Kentucky night she tells him the sprawling, multi-generational story of the Maddox family and their Red Thread Bourbon distillery, centered on teenage heiress Tamara Maddox and the stable hand she falls for decades earlier. As old secrets about money, race, and betrayal unravel, the present-day mystery of who Paris really is - and why she wants that bottle - comes into focus. It's a dual-timeline southern gothic blending romance, family saga, and suspense.
