The Darkest Part of the Forest

Holly Black

In the small, faerie-haunted town of Fairfold, siblings Hazel and Ben have grown up visiting a glass coffin in the woods that holds a sleeping, horned faerie boy, telling him their secrets for years. When he finally wakes, old bargains, buried family secrets, and a looming fae threat to the town force Hazel to confront choices she made as a child pretending to be a monster-slaying knight. It's a contemporary fantasy that blends small-town teenage life with eerie, dangerous fae lore and a low-key romance subplot.
