Defiant Queen

Book 2 of Mount Trilogy

Defiant Queen continues the story of whiskey heiress Keira Kilgore, who is bound by a debt to the ruthless New Orleans crime boss Lachlan Mount. As their arrangement of obligation shifts into something neither of them expected, Mount begins to soften his controlling tactics while Keira fights to protect her independence and her distillery business. Told from both their perspectives, the book digs into Mount's brutal past while escalating danger from his criminal world threatens to pull them apart. It ends on a major cliffhanger leading directly into the trilogy's finale.
