The Smoke Thief

Shana Abe

Book 1 of Drakon

Set in 18th-century England, this paranormal historical romance follows Rue, a half-human drákon who has secretly become London's most notorious jewel thief by using her rare ability to turn to smoke. When Christoff, the alpha of her hidden shape-shifting dragon tribe, tracks her down to retrieve a stolen diamond, old childhood feelings resurface alongside the danger of exposure. Together they must hunt down a second, more reckless thief threatening to expose their kind, all while confronting the pull of a bond neither can fully escape. It blends a Georgian-set heist mystery with a slow-burn romance between two strong-willed shape-shifters.
