She crash-lands into the orbit of gruff pirate captain Fer'oon, and the two are forced into a fake-mates arrangement to keep her safe aboard his ship. What starts as a convenient cover story slowly turns into something neither of them expected, as the captain's walls come down one reluctant feeling at a time. It's a lighthearted, spicy sci-fi romance that closes out the series' core cast.
