Outlaw Lake

Book 2 of Rustler Mountain

Perry Bramble and Carson Wilder have been inseparable best friends since childhood, each other's refuge from difficult upbringings. When Perry decides to finally move on with her life and chase a future that includes romance and a family of her own, the grieving, newly widowed Carson is forced to confront feelings for her he's never let himself examine. Chapters are interwoven with diary entries from one of Perry's ancestors, a mail-order bride whose own story of unrequited love echoes the present-day romance. It's a slow-burn, small-town western about two people realizing their lifelong bond was love all along.
