Holland Bakker has spent months secretly crushing on a talented subway musician she calls Calvin. When a stranger attacks her and Calvin steps in to save her, the two finally meet, and Holland decides to repay him by using her connections to get him an audition for a prestigious Broadway show. The catch is that Calvin is an undocumented Irish immigrant, so Holland proposes a marriage of convenience to secure his visa and his shot at stardom. As they settle into their fake marriage and shared apartment, their arrangement starts to feel a lot more real.
