In the sixth installment of the Honey Badger Chronicles, social-media-savvy honey badger shifter Nelle Zhao teams up with grumpy Amur tiger shifter Keane Malone as they work to dismantle a dangerous lion coalition (the de Medicis) tied to a human-trafficking operation and to Keane's father's murder. Told from numerous shifter characters' perspectives, the book blends snarky humor, action, and found-family chaos as Nelle and Keane's reluctant partnership slowly turns into something more. It wraps up the series' long-running de Medici storyline while bringing back many familiar faces from Laurenston's wider shifter universe.
