A dark, violent reimagining of The Wizard of Oz in which teenager Amy Gumm is swept from Kansas to a corrupted, dystopian Oz now ruled by a power-mad, magic-addicted Dorothy. Recruited by a rebel group called the Order of the Wicked, Amy is trained to fight and sent on a mission to dismantle Dorothy's regime piece by piece. The story blends action, body horror, and a slow-building rebellion plot with only a light romantic subplot in the background.
