Eighteen-year-old Olivia is abducted by Caleb, a man whose entire adult life has been devoted to tracking down the trafficker who destroyed his childhood. To get close enough to enact his revenge, he intends to train her as a pleasure slave, and the bulk of the story follows her terror, resistance, and slowly shifting feelings toward her captor. It is the opening installment of a notoriously dark, controversial indie romance that helped popularize the dark romance subgenre.
