Court of Shadows

C.N. Crawford

Book 1 of Institute of the Shadow Fae

Arianna, a demi-fae former gladiator hiding out as a bartender in post-war London, is captured by the silent, deadly fae assassin known as the Wraith and given an ultimatum: earn a place training as a Knight at the Institute of the Shadow Fae or die. Forced to share close quarters with her captor-turned-mentor Ruadan while competing against privileged, hostile recruits, she must hide her outlawed power and her past while navigating deadly trials. The story blends urban-fantasy action and academy-style competition with a slow-building romance between Arianna and the brooding, nearly-silent Ruadan.
