Sage Byrd, a quirky hobby-farm owner in the tiny coastal town of Spunes, Oregon, strikes a fake-dating bargain with Fisher, a gruff, wandering chef who has recently become guardian to his young niece. Their arrangement, meant to boost both of their reputations around town, quickly turns into real feelings and steamy chemistry as the two spend a summer cooking, bantering, and healing old wounds together.
