Scorched Hearts is the sixth book in Arianna Fraser's dark Scottish mafia romance series The MacTavish Heirs. It follows Wallace MacTavish, a MacTavish enforcer skilled in arson, who rescues Scarlett, the heiress of a rival Boston crime family, from a fire and then insists on claiming and protecting her. Wallace pressures Scarlett into marriage for her safety as the feuding crime families clash around them, while Scarlett tries to figure out how much of the man who saved her is also the dangerous criminal underneath. As with the rest of the series, it is billed by the author as having a guaranteed happy ending with no cheating.
