Book 1 of The Fire That Binds

Set in an alternate ancient Rome where dragons serve the empire, this romantasy follows Malina, a Dacian empath and dancer, who is captured in battle years after a brief, fateful encounter with the Roman general who once protected her. That general, Julian, is secretly a dragon-shifter and the emperor's nephew, forced to navigate deadly palace politics while hiding Malina and his growing feelings for her. As their bond deepens, the two become entangled in a conspiracy against a tyrannical emperor that threatens everything they hold dear.
