Fire in His Blood

Ruby Dixon

Book 1 of Fireblood Dragons

In a world shattered by the arrival of feral dragons, scavenger Claudia is thrown into the path of Kael, a gold dragon shifter who decides she's his mate whether she likes it or not. Told in alternating first-person chapters, the story follows their wary, combustible bond as Claudia tries to figure out how to survive—and maybe trust—a creature everyone has taught her to fear. It's a post-apocalyptic paranormal romance blending fated-mate tropes with a slow-building found-family thread as more of the drakoni's secrets come to light.
