Changelings

S.E. Wendel

Book 2.5 of Monstrous World

Changelings is a novella collection in S.E. Wendel's cozy Monstrous World series, pairing two romances between manticore-shifter brothers and human women in a village built by orcs, fae, and other former outcasts. The first story follows gruff, solitary Imogen and the devoted, cat-like manticore Balar, who has decided she is his fated mate whether she likes it or not, while the second follows scarred outcast Soren and a schoolteacher rebuilding her own sense of self after coming home in defeat. Told with humor and found-family warmth rather than high danger, it focuses on two couples learning to open up to love and to each other's pasts.
