My Not So Perfect Life

Sophie Kinsella

Katie Brenner is a twenty-something trying to make it in London, curating a glamorous Instagram life while actually struggling with a cramped flat, a tedious job, and a demanding, seemingly perfect boss named Demeter. When Katie loses her job and retreats to her family's struggling Somerset farm, an unexpected visit from Demeter forces secrets into the open and makes Katie reconsider what a genuinely meaningful life looks like. It's a witty, contemporary comedy about the gap between social-media image and reality.
