Sol is a trans man and a vampire who lives in the basement of the archive where he works, hiding from sunlight that could kill him. When Elsie, the widow of a cult sci-fi TV writer, arrives to donate her late wife's papers, the two form an unexpected bond over grief, fandom, and the strange business of being housed in a body that doesn't quite fit. As their relationship deepens, Sol must also confront a mystery stirring within the archive itself. It's a quiet, introspective novel about love, loss, and embodiment told with wit and warmth.
