A burned-out pop star nicknamed Rae Rose flees her celebrity life in the middle of the night, inspired by her love of Roman Holiday, and ends up stranded (car and all) in the small town of Rome, Kentucky. She's taken in by Noah Walker, a guarded local pie-shop owner still dealing with his own grief, and the two slowly thaw toward each other while she hides out from the press. It's a cozy, humor-filled small-town romance that trades Italian glamour for porch swings, found family, and a gradual, old-fashioned kind of falling in love.
