Crier's War

Nina Varela

Book 1 of Crier's War

In a world where human Makers were overthrown by the artificial beings they created, a palace handmaiden secretly plotting revenge against the ruling class finds herself unexpectedly drawn to the young automae noblewoman she serves. As political intrigue, a brewing human rebellion, and buried secrets about the past collide, the two must decide whether their growing feelings for each other can survive the war building around them. It's a YA fantasy that blends court politics, a slow-building enemies-to-lovers romance, and questions of power and personhood.
