Since You've Been Gone

Morgan Matson

A quiet, introverted teen named Emily is left reeling when her vibrant best friend Sloane vanishes without warning right before their much-anticipated summer, leaving behind only a list of thirteen dare-like tasks. With help from a classmate, Frank Porter, Emily works her way through the list hoping it will lead her back to Sloane, and in the process she comes out of her shell, makes new friends, and discovers an unexpected romance. It's a character-driven coming-of-age contemporary about friendship, self-discovery, and first love rather than a romance-centric plot.
