Rook is the second book in Jillian Graves's monster-romance series Romancing His Stone, following the first book's side characters Rook, a primal gargoyle, and Eden. The story centers on an attraction-turned-hunt dynamic between the human heroine and her gargoyle love interest, playing with forced-proximity and chase/primal-play dynamics established in the series' first book. As a continuation of the gargoyle mythology introduced in Titan, it expands the world of the last surviving gargoyles and the humans drawn into their orbit.
