Book 1 of Letters of Enchantment

Set in a world modeled on WWI-era conflict, this romantasy follows Iris Winnow, a teenage aspiring journalist trying to hold her fractured family together while competing for a coveted newspaper column against her sharp-tongued rival, Roman Kitt. When Iris starts slipping letters to her missing brother through an enchanted wardrobe, they're mysteriously answered by an anonymous pen pal who turns out to be closer than she thinks. As a war between two ancient gods escalates and pulls Iris toward the front lines, the growing bond between the rivals is tested by secrets, loyalty, and the horrors of battle.
