House of Holes

Nicholson Baker

A surreal, episodic erotic novel in which various characters stumble into a bizarre otherworldly pleasure resort called the House of Holes, where strange portals and fantastical encounters await. Written in Baker's signature playful, hyper-detailed prose, the book reads more like a series of linked erotic vignettes than a traditional plotted romance. It blends absurdist humor with explicit sexual content rather than following a single couple's relationship arc.
