The Play

Elle Kennedy

Book 3 of Briar U

Newly appointed Briar hockey captain Hunter Davenport swears off women and distractions after a disastrous season, vowing total celibacy to focus on the team. When he strikes up an unexpected friendship with sharp-tongued, driven pre-med student Demi Davis, the 'just friends' plan quickly becomes complicated once she becomes single and the chemistry between them grows impossible to ignore. Alongside the romance, the story weaves in family pressure, academic stress, and a mental-health storyline involving a secondary character. It's a fast, banter-heavy college sports romance that closes out with the central couple settled and happy.
