A human healer named Nera takes in a badly wounded orc soldier, Blizzek, found in the woods near her home after a battle in the ongoing war between humans and trollkin. As she nurses him back to health, their wary distrust slowly turns into tenderness and desire, even though his return to the front lines threatens to separate them forever. It's a short, emotionally charged hurt/comfort romance set against a wartime backdrop, blending size-difference and language-barrier tropes with a guaranteed happy ending.
