A steamy fantasy romance novella in which Kessa, a disgraced royal scout turned war conscript, is spotted and pursued by Zal'jan, a troll hunter guarding a remote northern fortress. When their skirmish strands them together in a snowbound valley, the two former enemies must rely on each other, and share close quarters, to survive the brutal winter. As the war between humans and trollkin rages on, their forced closeness slowly melts the hostility between them into something warmer. It's a short, spicy survival romance built around the classic enemies-to-lovers and stranded-together setup that fans of this author's monster romance world will recognize.
