Tosh wakes up trapped in a locked room with a terrifying, alien-looking captive who turns out to be far more complex than his monstrous appearance suggests. As the two are forced to rely on each other to survive their captor's twisted game, Tosh's fear slowly shifts into trust and attraction toward the strange, winged creature named Alzan. Meanwhile her best friend Willa races against time on the outside to track her down. It's a fast-paced sci-fi romance blending danger, dark humor, and an unlikely bond between a human woman and a genuinely non-human hero.
