Lover Mine follows John Matthew, a vampire warrior haunted by a hidden past, as he races to rescue Xhex, the fierce symphath assassin he loves, from a sadistic enemy who has taken her captive. As the two finally confront the long-simmering attraction between them, the book also weaves in subplots involving the Brotherhood's ongoing war with the Lessening Society and the complicated relationship between Qhuinn and Blay. It's an action-driven paranormal romance that blends vampire lore, found-family dynamics, and an emotionally intense reunion between two wounded souls.
