In this sci-fi romance, Second Commander Airen Kann-Felis, a disciplined female Eon warrior, finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Terran Sub-Captain Donovan Lennox while serving together aboard the warship Rengard. When a routine shuttle mission goes wrong and the pair crash-land on a dangerous prison planet while fleeing the insectoid Kantos, they must rely on each other to survive hostile creatures and ruthless criminals. Along the way, two guarded warriors who have each sworn off love are forced to confront their growing attraction and learn to trust one another. It's an action-packed entry in Hackett's long-running Eon Warriors series, blending space-opera adventure with a steamy romance arc.
