In this entry of the Ice Planet Barbarians series, fan-favorite side character Tiffany is adored by nearly every unmated hunter on the ice planet, but she keeps them all at a careful distance because of unhealed trauma from her abduction. The patient, steady hunter Salukh is the one man who knows her secret, and he slowly helps her relearn trust and touch while a staged 'courting competition' among her suitors plays out around them. It's a found-family, slow-burn romance that blends humor with a sincere look at recovering from sexual trauma, set against the series' icy alien-planet backdrop.
