Stranded on a hostile ice planet, tough and rebellious Liz Cramer finds herself unexpectedly bonded to Raahosh, the tribe's scarred and ill-tempered outcast, after an alien symbiont declares them mates. Determined not to let anyone dictate her future, Liz resists the pull between them even as Raahosh's gruff exterior slowly reveals a wounded, protective heart. What follows is a slow-building, banter-filled romance about two stubborn survivors learning to trust each other on a world that offers no easy comforts.
